Wazdan Expands Ontario Presence with Green Brick Labs and Maverick Games
Online casino slots developer Wazdan has expanded its outreach in the Ontario-regulated market after partnering with technology group Green Brick Labs to launch a range of Wazdan-developed titles with online casino operator Maverick Games.
The titles, including Mighty Fish: Blue Marlin, 36 Coins, Mighty Wild: Panther Grand Diamond Edition, and Mighty Wild: Gorilla, will be available on Maverick Games through integration with Green Brick Labs’ aggregation platform.

Betty Obtains Ontario Bingo Hall to Advance iBingo Plans
Online casino games developer Betty has acquired Kirkland Lake Bingo Hotel to advance in plans to launch regulated iBingo. In a statement, Betty described the acquisition as a strategic move to expand its online offerings.
The transaction closed last year, and Betty has said that it has retained all staff of the bingo hall.
“This acquisition is a strategic step as we launch our iBingo offering in Ontario,” said Chavdar Dimitrov, CEO of Betty. “We’re excited to be innovating in a regulated space in a way that lets our growth translate into meaningful charitable funding for local communities.”
As part of the acquisition, Betty has also committed to giving back to the community through Ontario’s established charitable gaming framework. The developer has said that a percentage of revenue from its online gambling operations would be directed to Kirkland to support health, youth, service, and recreational community organizations, as well as charities licensed by the Area Bingo Association.
“This is a long-term investment in the Kirkland Lake community,” added Dimitrov. “It’s about keeping a community institution open, supporting local charities, and making sure bingo remains relevant and accessible for the next generation of players.”
Las Vegas Tourism Board Considers $6M Marketing Campaign to Entice Canadians
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) has revealed that it is considering spending around $6 million over the next five years on a marketing campaign to bring back Canadians to the city.
Canadian visitation to Sin City had plummeted in recent years, mostly due to President Donald Trump’s tariffs on foreign nations and comments by the President implying that Canada should be the 51st state of the US.
According to LVCVA data, Canadian passengers visiting Harry Reid International Airport also dropped by double digits throughout 2025.
The LVCVA is currently contracted with the Toronto marketing firm Reach Global Market. The board has since proposed a new contract, which will be reviewed next week, that would see the LVCVA pay $1.12 million to the firm for the 2027 fiscal year. Further contracts would follow for the 2028 and 2029 fiscal years, worth $1.16 million and $1.12 million, respectively.
There will also be optional contracts for 2030 and 2031, with the LVCVA paying $1.2 million and $1.3 million, respectively.
