Playson Partners with Casino Time to Bring New Games to Ontario

Digital entertainment supplier, Playson, has expanded its Canada presence through a partnership with regulated operator, Casino Time.

Casino time will receive Playson’s portfolio of games, including Coin Strike: Hold and Win, Thunder Coins: Hold and Win, and Diamonds Power: Hold and Win, via Light & Wonders integration framework.

“Partnering with Playson is an exciting step in our mission to deliver the very best in online casino entertainment. Their Hold and Win titles are a proven hit in multiple markets, and we are certain these will add a unique dynamic to our slot library. This collaboration strengthens our ability to bridge the gap between retail and digital gaming, while giving our players fresh, immersive experiences,” said Jeffrey Holmes, Chief Operating Officer at Casino Time.

Casino Time entered Ontario’s iGaming market in 2024, and its collaboration with Playson is expected to increase player retention and satisfaction with the new titles offered to Ontario residents.

Evoplay Partners with Caesars Entertainment in Ontario

iGaming provider Evoplay has partnered with Caesars Entertainment to bring its slots to Ontario residents.

The 20 titles, including Hot Triple Sevens, Triple Chilli, and The Greatest Catch Bonus Buy, are now available on Caesars Palace Online Casino, Horseshoe Online Casino, and Caesars Sportsbook & Casino.

“Evoplay brings a fresh and dynamic approach to online gaming, which we’re excited to offer to our players in Ontario. This portfolio of standout titles adds to our growing content library and furthering our ongoing goal of delivering top-tier entertainment experiences to our players,” said Ricardo Cornejo Rivas, Vice President of Online Gaming at Caesars Digital.

Since receiving its Ontario license in March, Caesars Entertainment marks the company’s second partnership in Ontario, after Evoplay debuted with Rivalry last month.

“Launching with Caesars in Ontario marks a key milestone in our North American strategy. It reflects both the strength of our portfolio and our commitment to providing innovative, high-performing content to operators of the highest caliber,” added Alex Malchenko, Head of Sales at Evoplay.

Parq Casino Applies to Increase the Number of Slots by 50%

Parq Casino in Vancouver has applied for an expansion that would increase the number of slot machines from 600 to 900.

In February, the casino opened a new retail sportsbook, PROLINE. However, the casino has not increased the number of slots since it opened in 2017.

Parq Holdings wrote in its application filing, “Parq Casino has the lowest density of slot machines in the Lower Mainland. The population of Vancouver has grown by 22% since 2011, while the number of gambling machines has remained unchanged. The existing gambling mix at Parq Casino is not meeting player demand; currently, about two-thirds of gambling revenue from Vancouver residents is flowing out of Vancouver to other Lower Mainland facilities.”

The casino would not require an extension, as Parq claims it has space for 1200 machines in its 72,000-square-foot casino. The casino currently generates around $6 million a year, with table games generating more gaming revenue than slots in the 2024 fiscal year. The additional machines are estimated to generate an extra $2.7- $3 million for the City of Vancouver.
