Incentive Games Awarded Gaming License from Ontario Regulator
Online casino games developer Incentive Games has announced that it has secured an Ontario Gaming License from the province’s gambling regulator, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
With its license, Incentive Games is now able to offer its portfolio of real money games to operators and players. The titles will also be distributed via its real-money gaming division, Incentive Studios.
Prior to getting an Ontario license, Incentive Games also secured a provisional gaming license in Michigan, which was awarded by the state’s gambling regulator, the Michigan Gaming Control Board, in July. The two licenses solidify the group’s growth in the North American-regulated market.
“Ontario represents a huge opportunity for us, and securing this license is a proud moment for the whole team,” said John Gordon, Chief Executive Officer at Incentive Games. “It reinforces our dedication to meeting the highest standards while delivering compelling real-money content. We’re looking forward to building strong relationships in the region and continuing our momentum across regulated markets worldwide.”
Ontario Regulator Updates Charitable Gaming Policies, Removing Caps
Ontario’s gambling regulator, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, has updated its charitable gaming policies, removed the cap on seller commissions for Paper Raffles and Media Bingo, and banned Catch the Ace paper lotteries.
The Gaming Commission explained that by amending its lottery policies, it aligns with its other charitable lottery products. Licensed charities in the province can now negotiate with lottery sellers to determine the commission rates tied to the service cost for their products.
In addition to negotiating the commission cost, charities must also keep the receipts for seller commissions and comply with the province’s audit requirements. The regulator also stresses that charities that offer lottery services are still subject to regulation from the Gaming Commission and are obligated to meet the legal requirements of Ontario’s Criminal Code, or face prosecution. An updated section of the Lottery Licensing Policy Manual can be found on the Gaming Commission’s website, as well as a gaming-related inquiry service.
NetGaming Partners with Caesars Entertainment to Launch Content in Ontario
Online slot developer NetGaming has announced that it has partnered with US-based operator Caesars Entertainment to launch its portfolio of gaming titles in Ontario and select US states.
As part of the collaboration, Ontario, New Jersey, and Michigan users can play NetGaming’s titles, including Wicked Wins – Fortune Picks, Zeus’s Thunderbolt 5000, and American Wonder Reels, on Caesars’ online casino platforms.
The launch also represents a key milestone in NetGaming’s expansion plans as it looks to extend its presence throughout the North American-regulated market. “We’re grateful to our partners at NetGaming for supporting our ongoing mission to deliver an enhanced gaming experience on our online casino platforms. We have consistently been impressed by the creativity of their game portfolio and look forward to continuing to offer innovative content that enriches our players’ experience through this partnership,” said Matthew Sunderland, Senior Vice President and Chief iGaming Officer at Caesars Digital.
