EveryMatrix Expands Partnership with Pinnacle in Ontario

Online gaming content aggregator EveryMatrix has announced that it has expanded its partnership with operator Pinnacle to help launch its new online casino in Ontario.

Through the collaboration, Pinnacle will have access to EveryMatrix’s online casino integration platform CasinoEngine, which also signals the platform’s North American debut.

In addition, in the second phase of its launch, Pinnacle will be fitted with EveryMatrix’s cross-vertical bonusing tool, BonusEngine, allowing Pinnacle to use a range of bonus solutions for its platform. The operator also plans to integrate EveryMatrix’s EngageSuite to have access to multiple engagement tools.

“This launch marks a key milestone for EveryMatrix as we bring our market-leading CasinoEngine platform to Canada for the first time. We’re delighted to expand our partnership with Pinnacle and support their ambitions in Ontario with a powerful combination of platform, content, and engagement tools that are proven to drive success,” said Stian Enger Petersen, CEO of Casino at EveryMatrix.

iGaming Ontario Reports Year-on-Year Revenue Rise of 28% in June

Ontario’s online gaming operators have reported that total non-adjusted gross gaming revenue (NAGGR) generated $306.8 million in June, a year-on-year rise of 28% compared to the previous year’s total of $239.6 million.

Total cash wagers reached $7.3 billion in June, increasing from $6 billion reported in the previous year. Active player accounts also increased year-on-year, rising from 838 to 1013, while average revenue per active player account (ARPPA) topped $303 last month, rising from $286.

Ontario casinos made up the majority of total NAGGR, making up 79% of the market share. They generated $243 million in June, rising from $171.5 million in June 2024, a year-on-year increase of 41.7%. Following this, online betting yielded $58.4 million, holding 19% of the market share and declining 7.7% year-on-year.

Peer-to-peer poker had the lowest market share, at only 2%. Poker generated $5.4 million in NAGGR in June, a small drop from last year’s figure of $5.4 million.

Kambi Provides Update on OLG Sportsbook Launch

Sports betting provider Kambi has released an update on its sportsbook solution for the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) during earnings call on July 23.

The group originally announced that it had taken over a contract the OLG had with La Française des Jeux (FDJ). FDJ allowed Kambi to take over the remaining years of the contract, which is set to expire in 2032.

“We are fully on track with our project with the Ontario lottery, so we expect to launch as initially planned in the second half of the year. It will be more end of quarter three, beginning of quarter four,” said Kambi CEO Werner Becher. “And we also expect revenue contributions for 2025 P&L from OLG already this year.”

The OLG currently offers sports betting, both retail and online, via its PROLINE brand, which holds a 20% revenue share in the Ontario-regulated market.

“OLG’s migration to the Kambi platform is progressing well, with an aim to be live in the second half of 2025. The partnership with Kambi allows OLG continuous improvement to our popular PROLINE offering, allowing us to grow both our digital and retail sports businesses, to be even more competitive in Ontario,” an OLG spokesperson told Canadian Gaming Business.
